Repeat Prescriptions

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS REQUIRE 48 HOURS NOTICE.

We would encourage you during the pandemic to order your repeat prescriptions by our telephone service (01369 703279 or 01369 703354).You can either hand in your re-order form (to surgery reception, or your nominated chemist),but we would discourage that at this time.   We cannot accept email repeat prescriptions without a clear scanned image as, for your safety, we must ensure we can see your full details and the correct medication you are on.

You can only sign up to our online prescription service.Please ask at reception for details. If you are calling to order a prescription please do so after 10.00am, this will allow those patients who need to book an appointment to get greater access to the reception team.

 The time taken to process repeat prescription orders is the same, regardless of how you choose to re-order, because:

1. Doctors are in surgery all morning and all afternoon, so prescriptions are signed twice a day, at the end of surgery.

2. The chemists collect prescription orders from us once or twice a day, but sometimes they come before the prescriptions are signed.

3. The chemist requires  a minimum 24 hours to make up a prescription. They are very busy and may need to order what you require.

By giving us two days notice, you help us to provide you with an efficient service.
